Scientific Innacuracies in Stevie Nicks Lyrics

This page serves to chronicle the tireless efforts of the DGS to expose the scientific inaccuracies in the
lyrics of Stevie Nicks.  Several examples are listed below.

1. Landslide (from the album Fleetwood Mac)

"if you see my reflection in the snow covered hills
well the landslide will bring it down"

It appears that Stevie is singing about an avalanche, not a landslide.  A landslide is a downward sliding of rock or earth down a mountainside.  An avalanche is the same thing, except it involves snow.

2. Dreams (from the Rumours album)

"Thunder only happens when it's raining"

There are many examples of hearing thunder without rain.

More will be coming soon.  Please email us if you have any additional examples.

Update: We are working on another study dealing with grammatical errors in songs by the Steve Miller Band .
